Welcome to Filling The Skies, a Dragon and Griffin war based role play. Here the dragons and griffins are at a constant struggle over who has the most power, weapons, and most important the biggest horde of loot. The Fire breathing dragons and Ice breathing griffins though, are not the only two forces in this struggle. The third is a small united group of both races brought together for a chance at survival. Since they were either exiles or run away criminals, perhaps even a loner wanting to escape war, they have banded together. The lush forests and mountains have supported their conflict for centuries, but time takes its toll, and it has given both the dragons and griffins plenty of time to become mortal enemies.
In this forever war, who will take the Hordes?

Basically all RULES are located here. Every member should look over them. It can potentially stop any unnessessary drama that might unfold should you choose not to read them.
Have a question that needs answering? Perhaps you want to suggest something to help the site? Well all you have to do is post a thread here , and we`ll get back to you.
Suit up your characters with protective gear and weaponized add-on equiptment made specifically for each of the three groups. Please pay attention to the rules of the store.
This store offers upgrades for better attributes to your characters. It also suppiles powers like diffrent fire and ice breathing techniques. The staff will also have the occasional special, which could be anything, and in stock from as long as a few days to a few hours.
Havenhold is home to the arena, where many bloody tournaments are held for more horde money. There are rules for setting up fights, and there are judges that base the winner on several conditions. No matter what you still gain Horde money just not as much if you lose. Pm a Staff member about setting up a match once you have read the rules here, also specific tournaments will be held once in a while by the Staff Team.
Please come here to make your character. Remember to follow the form given, and to wait for a staff member to accept your bio before you begin role - playing.
Once you`ve read all the informatin about how this site works, then you`ll deffinatly want to create a thread here to keep track of all your prizes, weapons, armor, upgraded powers, and magical enhancements. Its also a good place to write down anything else you wish to have on hand for later. You may only have 1 thread in this board, you should seperate your iteams by character so you can keep track of it. This is here for your benifit, do not post in any other members threads, for any reason.
Looking for a mate, or perhaps wanting to be rid of a character? Post them here in hopes that they will find a mate, adopter, or someone to be friends or rivals with your characters.
This is a huge castle built by the dragons, Its walls are black as soot, and have a geam like polish to them. Small creaveses in the walls show tiny lava tubes that run the length of the halls. The castle is always at full battle capacity, and can house thousands of dragons. Most dragons that stay here are fierce warriors in there own right. Those that don`t stay within the castle are still welcome to shealter here during times of crisis. The Dragon Council also meet here to discuss problems and handle situations that may arise. Here is a safe place for dragons.
Blightguard Mountain is a treacherous area of razor sharp black peaks. It surrounds Brimstone Castle, and also stretches to the waters. Blightguard is one of the better protected strains of mountains that are fit for mates and there hatchlings.
This forest has been standing tall since the beginning of the realm. Many Hordes and an abundant wild life inhabits the area. The forest spans past the Blightguard mountains and leads to the Stone shelf that sperates open unclaimed territory with the dragons and griffins keeps.
A pleasent grove surrounded by the Blightguard Mountains. Its lush, and quiet, and a really gentle retreat from the dragons usual hustle and heavy lifting lifestyle. There is a small pond for swimming, and this grove gives you an excellent view of the moon and stars.
A vast ocean plentiful in all sorts of deep sea life takes up the area around Brinmstone Castle, and it also wraps around the lands and Connects to the Griffins home.
Narium is a huge meadow that spans most of the territory between the three borders. Eventhough this lush green grass, and usually quite peaceful place is neutral and therefore unclaimed ground, it has been the host of many bloody battles. The plants that grow here were created by the spilled blood of those left behind. Otherwise this is one of the more beautiful places in the realm.
With rushing waters that are almost always blanketed in the darkness of a storm, those that brave these waters, are either fools or very strong. Some of the best and biggest fish can be found here, as well as many pretty sea shells which eventhough they aren`t coin, are coveted by both races like gold.
Its a sudden drop at the edge of the meadow. If you follow the pass it will take you straight to Oraith Lake, but it also has lots of nesting areas for mates. The pass is made up of a redish brown rock. The dust from the rocks can turn you red if your not careful, but it washes off easily.
Oriath Lake is a nice play to fish, and to swim. Its very secluded, and surprisingly there has never been a battle waged there. The respect for there moon which is the lake is named for, is too great for them to dirty this place.
A high, rocky place rimmed with evergreen forest-- the lairs are fairly comfortable and built directly into the cliff walls. The entrances are hung with gauzy moss and are camoflauged from almost anything but the griffins' sharp eyes. Griffins can often be found sunbathing on the ledges and landing platforms, preening and enjoying the often somewhat misty view. The warm thermals spiraling up from the ground below make it an easy place to launch from and a surprisingly defensible fortress.
A brief soar from the Aerie is the flatlands, an expanse of gently rolling hills and long grasses. Smaller raptors of all sorts can be see circling, preying on the multitudes of smaller prey such as mice and rabbits. The griffins, however, are more interested in the wild antelope and deer dotting the prairie. It is a convenient location, being fairly close to the rookery, but if one is in search of more gamey prey one must fly onward closer to the border.
Slicing a line mercilessly through the griffins' territory is a clear river. It changes from place to place-- at some times the current is strong, at some places the waters deep or the width great. If one had a taste for seafood, the fork between the main river and a smaller tributary has created a channel of stiller water. This is a breeding ground for moon-trout, a highly prized treat for those griffins who care to get in touch with their inner osprey.
A long flight, nearly to the other side of the territory-- and well worth it, for the dark forest here is abundant with wildlife of every variety. Most of it is too small for a griffin to take notice of, but in hard times one may have to swallow his pride and a few rabbits as well. Along with prey, the forest crawls with secrets, and also with hidden dangers...
Home of the Freefallers this massive community is thickly guarded by thorn bushes, and surrounded by a canyon. The Kepp itself is built into the rock face on the side of the canyon, and is made to look non - existant to those that don`t already know where it is. If your journeying to Virathorn, remember that you don`t find it, those there find you.
On of the founders of the Freefallers Rikketh was honored for his deeds with this stone out in the middle of the woods at his favorite place or resting. It has a tiny spring, and shady trees to lounge in. The stone is shaped like a dragons wing, and carries his name and all of his accomplishments. He was the best forger of weapons the freefallers has ever had. One of the three founders, two of which are deceased.
Jirrel was another of the founders of the Freefallers. Unlike Rikketh she was an albino griffin. She was in love with Rikkune, and they always retreated to the stream away from everyone. It was named such in her honor, and in respect for her greatness and devotion to her lost love. This stream is plentiful in fish and other reasources and its a safe place for young hatchlings. The Forest where Rikketh`s Stone lies is near the stream.
The third founder and leader is a powerful indigo dragon named Yourion. He is the eldest dragon the Freefallers have. He is the only founder left alive, and he chose this barren scorching desert as his place of serenity. In his youth he always tested himself training here in the harsh conditiong, now he hopes that other Hatchlings can do the same.
